Metro Paramedic Services, Inc. is a subsidiary of Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Services, Inc. We are currently seeking a full-time Contract Manager/Paramedic/Firefighter for our Westmont contract. This postion is assgined to a 24/48 schedule with a base annual pay of $93,184.
The basic function of the Paramedic/Firefighter is to provide medical care and transportation for a patient at the Paramedic/Firefighter (EMT-P) level, within their scope of practice, as stipulated by Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and/or EMS Commission of Illinois.
Paramedic/Firefighter Responsibilities:
Responsible for overall management of Contract, Paramedic/Firefighter Personnel.
· Responsible for overall management of operations, including maintenance of ambulance vehicles and EMS equipment.
· Serve as liaison between Paramedics and EMS System.
· Responsible for overall management of payroll and contract budget.
· Draft and prepare work schedules.
· Approve trade time, paid time off, and other work schedule modifications.
· Responsible for reporting data collected by Paramedics to EMS System, Fire Department, and Company.
· Responsible for all members of the shift are performing in a professional, empathetic and required manner.
· Responsible for all members of shift arriving for duty in a timely manner.
· Responsible for overall oversight of all EMS Crews and ride-along personnel during their tour of duty.
· Communicate with Fire Department personnel and its command staff to assure adequate operations.
· Process any correspondence that is required to fulfill contract obligations.
· Notify corporate offices of any equipment or vehicle malfunction as necessary and arrange for immediate corrective action.
· Notifies the corporate office of any and all disciplinary matters.
· Notifies the corporate office of any and all matters pertaining to litigation.
· Conducts performance appraisals on employees.
· Directs the work of on-duty Paramedic/Firefighters.
· Prepare and process any employee corrective action forms as needed. Counsel, reprimand, and terminate employees as needed. Hire personnel and promote personnel.
· Prepare annual and probationary performance evaluations for paramedic personnel and Paramedic Supervisors that will have direct effect on paramedic personnel’s continued employment and compensation level.
